Elgin Veterinary Hospital is a full-service large animal hospital that
has offered referral and primary care services for large animals since
1951. The 45,000 square foot hospital is located 25 miles east of Austin,
Texas, on Highway 290 in Elgin. EVH's Equine Division is equipped to
handle almost any equine emergency or equine patient, large or small, and
offers clients and patients 24-hour critical care and emergency receiving.
EVH also cares for the cloven-hooved, as the Bovine Division is located
at the same site, and sees both primary care and referral bovine cases.
The hospital is comprised of an 88 stall barn, with 40 paddock areas, a
6,600 square foot lameness pad, as well as an isolation barn and intensive
care unit. EVH's surgical suite is composed of two operating rooms with
3 padded recovery rooms. Our team is made up of seven veterinarians and
13 veterinary technicians that strive to provide the highest level of patient
care and customer service to our patients and clients.
