"Town & Country is a great place; I feel very fortunate to be here," Dr. Symm says. He started working at Town & Country at 15, and worked there throughout high school, college, and veterinary school. "It was a blessing that I was able to get some specialized training, and then come back as a partner." You could say that working at Town & Country was a life-changing experience for Dr. Symm. Not only did he find his career field, he also met his wife, Bridget, in 1996, who also worked at the clinic throughout high school. "For me, practicing in my hometown and interacting with people I've known for a long time and helping them with common problems every day is the most fun part," he says. "We see a lot of everyday stuff, but with my special skill set, I also get to see unique stuff sometimes." Dr. Symm is a former board member of the Texas Equine Veterinary Association (TEVA) and past President of the TVMA Equine Practice Committee. He's a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and the ACVS. Lamar Crossland, DVM Prior to joining TCAH, Crossland owned and was the managing partner of Sunset Canyon Veterinary Clinic in Dripping Springs, Texas, for 24 years. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 1990, completing his internship at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Crossland grew up showing steers and heifers, so he has a passion for working with show animals, including lambs, goats, and swine.
