www.texasequineva.com | 8 Howdy, Greetings from Aggieland! I hope that each of you were able to slow down a bit and enjoy some quiet peaceful family time through the holiday season. Several of our members experienced family losses during the latter part of 2022, and I hope that they feel our support and friendship during this rough season of life. Continued prayers for them and their families. As we all gear up for the busy new year ahead I hope that we can each rejoice in the parts of our industry that we enjoy. New healthy babies, confirmed pregnancies, clients with hopes for their new performance horses, the upcoming show circuits and opportunities to gather at CE events and renew friendships. Drs. Piper Norton and Michelle Bessie are well into their plans for the 2023 Summer CE Symposium in Fort Worth, and I hope each of you will make plans to attend in August. We are looking forward to opportunities to support our student members this year, starting with the Job Fair sponsorship at the TAMU SCAAEP Student Wet Lab. We are looking forward to opportunities to support the next generation at Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and LSU. If you are interested in helping with these efforts, please send us a message. ere are many ways to get involved in TEVA student activities. ere are also many other ways to jump in and become more active in TEVA and the Texas Equine Founda- tion. Blessings, Leslie PRESIDENT LESLIE EASTERWOOD DVM, MA A Message from the Point
