These scholarships provide monies to students to travel or fund expenses while gaining experience in any equine related experience. Unfortunately this year, the Texas Panhandle suffered its share of disasters. There were tornados in Matador in June 2023. We partnered with AAEPF and the veterinarians at 6666 Ranches and Brock Veterinary Clinic to care for horses who were badly injured in the tornados. In late winter of the year, a string of massive wildfires tore through the panhandle region terrorizing all who came in contact. Through our network of veterinarians, industry partners and AAEP's Foundation for the Horse, TEF was able to swiftly step in to offer relief. Through the course of the fires, we worked to send over 400 tons of alfalfa and grass hay, $15,000 in veterinary supplies and helped care for 4 horses who sustained major injuries in the fires. We are proud to be able to mobilize swiftly and efficiently to provide aid to our colleagues when disaster strikes. We are looking forward to what next year will bring as we continue to serve our mission of creating a legacy of equine welfare, crisis relief and outreach. Join us in making an even larger impact in 2025! DIRECTOR BRITT CONKLIN DVM, CF TEXAS EQUINE FOUNDATION DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR PETE HALE ASST. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR BLAINE FISHER
