P 39 SPEAKER: Kurt Selberg, DVM, DACVR HOUR 1: Stifle The equine stifle is a common source of lameness. There are several structures commonly injuries. This lab will be a hands-on approach to a complete ultrasound exam and documentation of the equine stifle. Common sites of injury to key structures with in the joint will be discussed during the lab. HOUR 2: Metatarsus The metatarsus is a commonly examined region of anatomy in sport horses. This lab will illustrate a complete examination of the region. Participants will gain experience with new technique to explore the metatarsus with a focus on the suspensory ligament. Common configurations of injury to the metatarsus will be discussed during the lab. The wet lab will be two hours and will be repeated for the second session. Both Dr. Selberg will teach the same material in each section Limited space available in each lab to ensure adequate teaching time for all students.
