Since then, we have grown into a full service, primary care and referral facility that provides surgical, medical, reproductive, general health, and emergency services. The clinic sits on 7.5 acres of pasture land northwest of Houston in Waller, Texas. Our facility has a large surgical suite with two induction/recovery stalls, two examination rooms, an isolation unit, a client lounge, and a breeding shed with a fully equipped reproduction laboratory. Our barn consists of 20 stalls and it is staffed around the clock by technicians, most of whom are certified. There are also 12 paddocks and two large pastures. The clinic is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasonography, shockwave, and video endoscopes for airway evaluations and gastroscopy. The laboratory performs in-house blood work, bacteriology, and parasitology, and is capable of preparing platelet rich plasma and IRAP. As a result of our large emergency caseload, we developed a transport service manned by trained technicians to bring patients to the hospital if the owner is unable to trailer their own horse. Our staff is comprised five veterinarians, five registered technicians, as well as several assistants and office staff. We also have volunteers and externs at the practice on an almost daily basis. The clinic utilizes an excellent farrier, equine dentist, and chiropractor. christopher Boutros DVm, DVSc, Diplomate American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
