NexHA™ (Hyaluronate Sodium) is an FDA-approved low
molecular weight Hyaluronate Sodium injectable solution
10 mg/mL indicated in the treatment of joint dysfunction
of the carpus or fetlock in horses due to non-infectious
synovitis associated with equine osteoarthritis.
It is extracted from the capsule of Streptococcus spp.
and is purified, resulting in a form of hyaluronate sodium,
which is essentially free of protein and nucleic acids. The
solution is low viscosity, pyrogen-free, sterile, and does
not contain a preservative. This product is available in a
4 mL (40 mg) vial size for I.V. injection.
