They are equine racetrack veterinarians, currently servicing Texas and Oklahoma race tracks including: Sam Houston Race Park, Houston, TX; Lone Star Park, Grand Prairie, TX; Remington Park, OK City, OK; with a billing and records office based in Lubbock, Texas. Warren B. Young, D.V.M., is a 1988 graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. From 1988–1991 he was an Associate Veterinarian at Equine Medicine & Surgery, Bossier, LA. He also served from 1991–1998 as an Associate Veterinarian at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital, Navasota, TX, before opening Young Equine Services in October of 1998. Today Dr. Warren Young resides in Montgomery, TX, with his wife, Laura, and their 3 children; Madison, Brennan, and Christopher. In his spare time, Dr. Warren Young enjoys ranching and hunting. Bryan H. Young, D.V.M., is a 1991 graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. He was an Associate Veterinarian at Equine Medicine & Surgery, Bossier, LA, from 1991–1994 and an Associate Veterinarian from 1994–1998 at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital in Navasota, TX. He then joined Dr. Warren Young in opening Young Equine Services in October of 1998. Today Dr. Bryan Young resides in Houston, TX, with his wife, Kelley, and their three kids; Cullen, Corbin, and Ella. In his time away from practice, Dr. Bryan Young enjoys golfing. These brothers share a passion for horses and they give special attention to ensure that care is individualized to the patient. Each of them adds something different to the practice and when combined, it has proved to be a very effective practice model. The practice is entirely mobile and maintains a client base between 25 and 30 trainers, with 400–500 horses under care. Services rendered are at the tracks, arriving on-site when the gates open in the morning and leaving when they close, and then on call for the remainder of the night. YES follows the Thoroughbred circuit, with the year beginning in Houston, TX, then moving to Grand Prairie, TX, and closing the year in Oklahoma City, OK. At the end of each meet, all of the equipment and remaining supplies are trailered to the next stop. Each location is set up prior to arrival so that it meets the needs of that particular meet. Everything from the temporary office to housing is customized for each venue. All logistics are handled from the office of records based in Lubbock, Texas. YES does not have a physical office that they work out of every day, not even every year! Imagine having a boss that you speak to numerous times a day, but doesn't actually see you in person but once every eight years!! Oh how the times have changed. Home base for the doctors would be the Houston, TX, area. Dr. Warren Young resides in Montgomery, TX, and Dr. Bryan Young in Houston, TX. As you can tell, they are away from home for the majority of the year. Both are extremely family-oriented, and the Sam Houston Race Park meet is like a homecoming every year. The doctors do rotate on and off so that they are able to see family during the away meets. Each has children still in school, so being able to spend time at home and be involved is extremely important to both of them. This practice is different than any other practice. There is not just one thing that makes it different, but many. The common dominator is that it takes both to make it work day in and day out, and it does! Young Equine Service has been a Platinum Practice member since 2011. For more information, you may contact them at 806-317-1060. PLaTINUM PRaCTICE FEaTURE yOuNg EquINE SERvICES
