Spring is here. It seems like time is flying by. Breeding season is halfway over!
Newborn foals, wild flowers and hard work. It is always nice to see pictures
on Social Media about what our colleagues and clients are doing! I think our
meetings this year are shaping up nicely and will feature topics for everyone
from the surgeons to the mixed animal practitioners.
Our first C.E. stop will be our Boutique Meeting at Lakeway Resort in Austin,
TX, June 23 and 24. It will feature Dr. Jared Janke, DVM, DACVIM, LA. He
will be speaking on "MacGyver Medicine or Approaches When Finances or
Diagnostic Options are Limited." Seating is limited so if you are interested

Our 8th Annual Summer Symposium will again be held at Marble Falls, Texas at Horseshoe Bay Resort, August 11–13,
2016. Dr. Brock has put together a great lineup of speakers that will cover a variety of topics. Our two keynote speakers are
Dr. Tim Greet BVMS, MVM, CERTEO, DESTS, DIPECVS, FRCVS, a partner in Rossdales Veterinary Surgeons located
in Newmarket, United Kingdom and Kelsey Hart, DVM, PHD, DACVIM (LAIM) of the University of Georgia School of
Veterinary Medicine. Both speakers will have a variety of topics which should be of great interest. I think this may be our
best meeting lineup ever. JoLynn Joyce is also putting together a great Silent and Live Auction. So bring plenty of money
and support our Scholarship Fund.
Last but not least Dr. Rob Franklin will be finishing out the year with two Equitarian trips to Guatemala and an exploratory
trip to Nicaragua.
What a year this is shaping up to be. Don't forget this is your organization. Please let us know what we can do better,
different or if you are interested in helping out! I am looking forward to seeing everyone in the coming months.
